EF6 fogs arrived today.

I admit I copied Nominous, but they do look perfect!!
Started cleaning them up by using a scouring pad on the lenses with some Fairy liquid, then used some Brasso on them and buffed off. They will get another treatment after I tidy up the black metal frames.
Not much of an update, but thought I'd write something as I'm getting a bit fed up, again.
For anyone not in know, I bought an EF5 (import 4WD Shuttle) last week that didn't turn out so good (blown h/g, considerable crash damage, dodgy gearbox... dodgy in general). So I have decided to strip it for parts. It's proved more handy this time round, as with that GL I had, I didn't keep half the stuff I could of, and I've realised how a few things should be removed. It's a shame I can't swap the roof too, then I'd have OEM mountings for the roof bars!
So I've been stripping it down for spares, and have noticed the suspension components, including rods/arms, RTA's, shocks/spring are all in mint condition. So I want to do a swap as my Shuttle is VERY rusty in the arches (components) and all bolts are seized solid. I tried another attempt today, only for my 17mm socket to crack in two places leaving it useless, and I couldn't find another one. The 4WD setup is also in great condition, where as mine is not so great. In the ideal world I'd like that done too. But I need to get this done before Daz picks it up, which I can't see happening. I'm a bit stuck for what to do...
I've spotted a bit more rust on my Shuttle, and a small hole to the body underneath, where I think water is leaking, has been sat and made a hole from inside the car, or condensation that's been sat dripping for ages - which I'd prefer.
What I really want to do is just strip the fecker down to nothing, repair what I need to and put it back together. No chance where I am, but prehaps in the future. Maybe I'm trying to get too much done in one go, but I feel it's necesary to sort out the problems now. I hate having car issues, especially rust (who doesn't), but it drives me mad, I have to get it sorted, or it plays on my mind.
I was planning on going travelling in January - hence the urgency. It's now not likely until the end of March at the earliest... which is not when I wanted to leave at all. We're also getting an extension done this year via a grant due to my mum's unfortunate situation - I'd like to be around for that so I can keep an eye on everything, and make sure nothing goes wrong, plus we need a new roof on our garage and shed.... so I need to get that sorted this summer too. So looks like I may be around for JAE after all....
Just need to vent a bit. I'm getting Vtec withdrawl!
Now I am in talks with the guys who were repairing this red 4WD, and we have come to a better option.
I'm going to be keeping the Beagle, and using my red RT as a donor car basically. The red one is way too rusty on the bodywork, underneath, fuel tank, ALL suspension components.. and needs lots of chopping and plating, and has anoying problems, whereas the JDM chassis is great, no major issues, just detachable body parts need swaping. All suspension parts are in great condition, no rust to be seen! So to save putting good parts on a patched shell, it makes sense to keep that there, and sort out the bodywork issues, and swop engines, and do a manual to auto swop. I've had a pretty good quote, and I'm happy to go with it. Then it will need some spraying done.
Only problems are the rear doors.... if they need replacing, the glass will need swapping, as well as the bootlid glass too!
And the difference in colour. I'm not a fan of the two tone, so it may end up looking a bit like Bisi's shuttle, but OEM green.... with black trim...
Sounds like a plan Marc. Good ideas you have. Can't wait to see you put all the effort and detail you did in the prior wagon into the Beagle. I'm still glad I was able to get the parts before you decided to keep it. Haha. But yea can't wait for your picture heavy updates!

thanks dude. i feel a lot happier now, ive had to refund one person, but they were cool about it.
it makes sense to go this route, and it will pay off in the long run
i should have lots of parts left over anyway, so i will no doubt have an all mighty super cheap clearout
great write up!!! i love seeing the progress and ideas. i see the US got screwed on the wagon models also. the wagon looks great. you are now in my favorites on ebay due to wagon parts are hard to find and some parts are not avalable here. great job
As the car didn't sell, I've decided to get the bodywork sorted and have a fresh MOT and tax. It needs a lot of welding to the sills (inner and outer), arches (inner and outer), seat belt points, suspension points etc... but I have a friend who's doing the bodywork, so should be sorting me out.
Re: CRX seat, I can get as many of those as you want. Shipping will be expensive though.

seats would be £25-35 each
shipping would be £100 each
shipping for two seats would be £175

This Shuttle.
ive ran out of time, space and money
split the Beagle for parts, as someone wants the 4WD setup for a HB, and is going to throw in a B20vtec in
i cant afford two cars, times are very hard
