yeh i am, looking for around $1000 shipped to USA, or i would do a part ex on some parts
Finally finished painting the springs. Doing it by hand takes a lot longer, but is a lot cheaper!
Roof bars are all done, and are ready to be fitted. I just need to wait for the sealent to dry that I sealed the rubbers onto the feet with, thats why they look a bit messy around the edges (for the moment).
I had to paint the feet for anyone who hasn't read all this thread, as they were very corroded, and I didn't want to pay for them to be powder coated and corrode again, so I painted them with Hammerite, by hand. They haven't come out too bad, but spraying would of given a nicer finish, but I'm not too fussed. As like the springs painting by hand it's a lot cheaper!
I need to unclip the roof lining so when I drill the holes it doesnt go through it, as that would not be cool!
Here's how they will sit. Leaving the gutter free for water to run away..

Picked up some new/cheaper 14x6 alloys...
I love them! They look like a cross between Gabs and ITR wheels... anyone know what they are?
They have a polished lip, and silver centres. I'm going to polish up the rims, and do the centres white I think!
Like this:
Miata (Mazda MX-5) OEM wheels? Have you tried to fit them onto the car yet? If they're MX-5, the hub center might be too small to fit over the lip on the Wagon hub.

Not yet, but the guy I bought them off had them on a CRX, so they should be fine.
They do have M.I.T stamped on the inside of the spoke...
Roof bar's were delayed as I wanted to get my Recaro's in the VT. The roof bars I'll try and do tomorrow if the weather holds off.
All the wheels are ready to be painted. Polished all the lips, and my hand is tonk city!! My finger tips are smooth like a baby's bum!
And today I've been JDM shopping again.
The Beagle was stacked on top of a Volvo, so it was a bit tricky to say the least getting bits off. The alloys and centre caps were still there. He wanted £100 for them as the tyres are like new - I'm sure he will take a bit less.
I may get them, along with the boot plastics as someone was after them, but they will be a PITA to remove due to it's new location.
- Washer jet relay (for Nominous)
- Front door window sills (for me)
- Passenger front mat
- Parcel shelf
- Dial surround buttons and 'fake' button
- Centre console
- JDM manual folding electric mirrors and interior trims
- Aerial signal booster
- 4WD steering wheel badge
- Sidelight
- Clear indicators
- JDM clock
- JDM auto climate heater controls and relay
- JDM fusebox diagram
I found the other front floor mat lying on the ground under a load of crap...
So I gave it a dowsing with water, brushed it, then covered it in Woolite, let to soak for 10 minutes, then brushed off with water.

And I put some stickers on my wind fairing...
I've got a couple more to put on still.
Been really ill recently with a bad Appendix, so not got much done.
I got stuck in with a few missions...
- Fitted the new window sill I took from the Beagle last week.
- Fitted new radiator (thanks Chapman!), broke my PB
- Fitted JDM manual folding mirrors.
Also cleaned the drivers mat, and passenger again...
Then the last few days I started painting the new wheels. I did one white but I didn't like it. So I stripped it again and did it Vauxhall Platinum. I need to polish up the rim again, but I like it. Didn't want to go black, or white, and I had some of this paint left over, so may as well!
Decided against that choice of colour, so I got some Rover Gummetal, looks spot on!
Just need to do some centre caps, which have been ordered.
I managed to do them with x2 300ml cans of colour, one can of 400ml lacquer, and one can of 400ml primer, which all cost around £25.
My dad thought they were for my EE9, but I told him they don't fit y0!
I need to get some new tyres, not sure what size to get, they are 195/55 I think at the moment, but I'd like 185/65. And yes I know it needs to be lower, I'm trying to find some cheapish coilovers at the moment..

I also need a new exhaust, which I will get custom made of course
You're doing a great job with your car!
Cheers man.
I've had a few moments of doubt etc... but I keep going.
I like to post up what I've done with pics, so it makes it easier for others
I should do some how-to's really
Thanks man. I have chronic OCD lol, so its hard not to have things right
i cant afford to, otherwise i would. plus they would only get ruined anyway.
i have some 14" watanabe's in the pipeline 8)

Im looking at roof racks to transport a Kayak around, what Thule Kit did you get? I assume it fits straight to the OEM roof rails
Cheers
Yeh fits onto the OEM roof rails. Thule 761 bars, and 755 (now called 757) feet.
Cant wait to see pics of yours mounted with the Yakima rack, give me and idea of what mine might look like
Your doing an awesome job getting your Shuttle back to mint condition, wish I had the motivation
