so still been a while since i updated. don't have pics of the front lip up yet, you can see the rear lip on the contest on iburnclothing.com. but i figured i'd give an update. blew the motor last weekend. broke the cam in half. picking up a d16z6 this afternoon for transplant.

so i found a pic of my car on wiredonhonda.com, it shows my front lip. for better resolution go to their site and look at the gallery. and remember to vote for the wagon on iburnclothing.com!

Hey I have the exact same problem with my door! I wonder if its more common? Congrats on the wagon!

My driver door is exactly like that. I guess the wind got ahold of it and broke the mounting point for that hinge or something.

well, i snapped the cam on the stock motor, and the rings were already toast so i decided to swap in the z6. also picked up a nice little hmt turbo kit for temporary use till the newest motor gets built
  • genedaddygenedaddy Wagonist
need some help. finished the z6 swap, it cranked over once and now it won't crank any more? fuses are good. with the z6 i converted to mpfi. pm6 shows code 6 for engine coolant temp, which is to be expected because it is not hooked up.....

but why won't the engine crank any more?

check your grounds on the motor.
might have to be more descriptive on your problem...

so after some google trouble shooting, we discovered that the wire fell off the starter, the motor now runs!
  • motors pulled apart. vitara pistons and eagle rods going in

had a productive junkyard run, jail bars, molding, front spindles, wing, amber fronts, passenger mirror, hatch struts

also started powder coating in the garage. most of my suspension components and mounts are done. also did a valve cover and my fuel rail. intake manifold is next.

got some info on a carbon hood too, posted in the announcements thread looking for interest
  • very nice project...i am down for a CF hood too

    nice updates.
i want to see more/better pics.
  • wow....i've been gone for a while. my wagon is finally running again. d16z6 swapped in, with eagle rods and vitara pistons. just picked the car up from the wire tuck tonight. had poly bushings installed all around, probably one of the best mods I have EVER done, and will be doing it to my other 2 cars shortly for sure. sorry i haven't posted any new/better pics, i'm working of the cell camera at the moment, but i'm gonna have to see what i can get you guys. i got my z10 traction bars installed as well, and came across a momo montecarlo which is now also in the car. i'm looking forward to hearing what the fellow enthusiasts have to say when i get you some pictures.

    we'll be ready.
    i'm waiting for new pictures.

did you "powder coat" those parts yourself?
if yes, how did you do it?
  • yes, we did. first we picked up the project car mag with the issue on powder coating. then we went to harbour frieght and picked up a powder gun and powder. found an electric oven on craigslist cheap and picked it up. we r running it off of 120, but 220V would be better. we used a carboard box on a shelf for the powder booth, its messy. once the powder was on we put it in the oven and cooked it. its important to tape off anything you dont want powder on. other than that generaly searching on the internet for technique. it really wasnt difficult, the powder turned out pretty good, and its very durable.
  • EDwEFprtsEDwEFprts Senior Wagonist
    ^ pretty cool.
i thought that would be how it's done.
i love doing things myself, but i don't know if i would be ready for all that.
