91 RT4WD wago from waterford MI

well, seems as the introduction has sparked interest in my newly acquired ride. so i wont hold back from showing anything any longer. here are some pics to get you started with.

and this is the interior after 5 hours of cleaning, and still the rear hatch area to complete,

and this is a pic of both the rides together,

heres the rundown on the wago now,
stock engine that had a small accident, when someone figures this out just by the pics i posted i will post up a pic of the actual issue!!
stock struts with ebay coilover sleeves
2 1/4 catless exhaust back to a stock replacement style muffler
custom one off lightbar/cow pusher.....lol(may be going on my eg sedan for giggle for a while)
no audio as of now, but is getting a kicker l7 10" as far as i can say at the moment, with a sony mechless HU
30% tint front 4 windows, the rest is 20 or 15, cant remember
and lastly 15" konig rims which add a nice touch to the car.
overall that is it for now, getting ready to get the d15b8/y8 combo built and installed into my eg sedan to take the d16a6 out of my sedan and have it installed into the wago to get it on the road.

Comments
light bar has been removed and is on the eg already, and its staying there most likely.
as for the rust its not as bad as it looks on the rear quarters, but the door, i dont know how the freak that one happened.
misc wires in the engine bay have been removed.
silver bullet is actually a Coors aluminum beer can, will probably be replaced with a monster can shortly.
as for progress the past couple days, none, have had to work both days, and i work tonight. tomorrow im off so ill probably try to get the bay ripped apart to prep it for engine removal.
ps, need a new rad too, this thing is shot!!!!
as you can see rad is shot and already have another one on the way. getting ready to rip the engine out tomorrow.
and for those who are curious as to where the bullbar/fog bar ended up, here ya go!!!!
3k hid outers, 100w 5inch inners, possibly adding 6inch rounds too!!!
here is my supporter through these things,
but here is what i accomplished today. went from this....
to this!!!!!
overall this was a simple build with new parts and set aside for about a week till i get my vtec conversion kit or ecu, whichever i get first......
i almost installed my new pm3 pistons, but the ones already in the engine were good enough for me.
here is what the engine i built consist of,
stock d15b8 bottom end, stock d16y8 head, y8 intake manifold(not installed yet, need gasket off my a6 in the eg now(thermal)), will have ebay header, and will get an AEM adjustable cam gear.
next on my list of things to do will be to strip the wago's d16a6 of its head, intake, exhaust, trans, and push the block in the corner and save the rotating assembly for future use.
but that is all for my update!!!
spent all day saturday working on the engine for the wagon getting it rebuilt and mated back to the ungodly heavy transmission. towards the evening around 1030ish at night the motor was sitting in the bay with two mounts and most of the upper electrical and tubing reinstalled. fast forward to yesterday the car was finished and back on her own feet. primed the fuel system 3 times, turn the key to start it, and she fired up right on the first crank. couldnt have been happier!!!!!
now i have in issue, front passenger side axle will not fully seat and looks like the outer splines are damaged on the inner joint going into the transmission. this is a huge setback to me. not sure why or how this occurred, but im thinking of swapping the axles on both sides seeing if that will solve my issue.
i also read that replacement axles for either the auto or manual version of the rt4wd are 90-93 integra manual axles. hoping this info is correct i will be borrowing an axle tonight from work to test fitment.
Wednesday night while I'm at work my wife calls me saying the exhaust broke and is dragging. Great. Go home and fix it after work.
we start our trip by filling the tank then jumping on I94 to head out west. Get to Illinois and start to have a terrible vibration and the sound of an exhaust leak. Stop at a local walmart about 20 miles into Illinois. Both front tires are out of balance after being balanced the week before this trip. 20 bucks later were back on the road. 55ish miles later the exhaust manifold spring bolts go mia. Great....and this was after tightening them back up.....
so I continue to drive all the way to Des Moines Iowa. Pulling into the biggest truck stop in the world my license plate mounting holes rot off leaving my plate on the ground. Added that one to the list of wtf will happen. Put it inside the rear window were its not the easiest to see because of dark rear tint. 100 miles or so from the boarder I get pulled over by Iowa's finest. Just a warning. I'm on my way.
Continue to drive straight to Grand Island Nebraska. Mind you STILL open header. So I get to Grand Island and we stop for about 8 hours at the wife's grandmas sisters house. We nap for about 6 hours. We take off for the final 5 hours on the road to alliance. Well everything was great until the God damn axle popped out on us.....what the fuck is this trip coming too? Spend about an hour and a half waiting for help as I didn't bring my pry bar for axles with me. Didn't think this would every happen to me. Well after getting sick and tired of waiting I decided to try and pop it in with what little room I had. I was able to some how jam it in with my hand which my thumb still throb's now. So we continue the final 2 hours of our trip hitch free with an open header still.......
so yeah. all this to be with family. was worth it. considering we averaged 33-35mpg between all our fill ups. which I can say is pretty damn nice.
not sure any or all of this makes sense considering its like 2am your time and only 12am here. if nothing does sorry.
sorry pasted that from another local form to me, and yes, it was that crazy.
I ended up replacing 1 tire but i should have done both. I really should listen to my Gut more often and do what i think i need to do. i fixed the exhaust the following day once i arrived in Alliance. then i took preventive measures which where new spring bolts, loc-tite, and lock washers. that held up rather nicely. not an issue with "that" part of the exhaust on the return trip. only problem with the exhaust on the return trip was the rear most exhaust hanger broke. so i rigged it up with a coat hanger since i was literally 5 miles into michigan when it happened.
so im going to replace the other sides tire and rear tires soon(and at a much cheaper price). also going to replace both axles in front. and im going to fix the rear exhaust hanger and probably make a safety hanger, if its to break again for it to fall on so it wont scrape the ground(idea to show you guys soon). other than that im pretty happy that i spend less than 250 dollars in gas to get there and back. love it when gas prices hover around 3.40 going there, makes michigan look dumb being almost 20-30 cents higher.
oh heres a pic i found on my phone that i like of the trip.
