I'm getting a CEL code 4 on the ECU meaning crank angle sensor. Any one have any luck fixing this or is it pretty much a replace the whole distributor thing?
The problem is with the crank angle sensor! Haven't tested the resistance yet, just wondering if anyone had some tricks to get it working without replacing the whole distributor.
im not the authority in this, but im pretty sure its easier just the replace the dizzy. if one thing is wrong with it, its all in good time before something else will go bad with it, etc...

just my 2 cents :P
yeah thats what i figured, just wanted to check before i shell out the cash for a new dizzy
Now I'm second guessing my cam timing. After rechecking all the sensors dealing with ignition/timing with my ohm meter and finding no problems(crank angle was at 390- 350 to 550 is norm, cylinder position was at 900- 700 to 1000 is norm, top dead was at 380- 350 to 550 is norm), I checked my timing with a light. #1 cylinder is firing at the top dead center mark on the main pulley, not even close to the three timing marks. So....
Dizzy is fine!
Can the timing belt being off a tooth trip the CEL for the crank position sensor????
