    i forgot to mention this!.....

my neighbors thought this morning when they got up and saw my path, no problem they thought. their VW bug got stuck.
well, after about an 1hr., my jack, two pc.s of plywood, the neighbors shovel or two, a snow blower we got the car unstuck and back in the garage. their other bug which was "German Manufactured", made it no problem. the driveway was clear by then   . they asked me how i did it this morning. pointed out the RTAWD. their jaws dropped. GO RTAWD Wagos!

Would not you able to keep your rt4wd if you installed a CRV 5 speed tranny?? My cousin/compadre has one for sale by the way... He is in Brooklyn, NY. He tried to finish this project but he ran out of $$$: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=10748

Yes and no. You could stay awd if you had the crv tranny with a dohc. But if I'm not mistaken you'd have to use the crv rear end also with that tranny. Shenrie did it to his old wagon.

Why the CR-V rear? is the OEM rear to weak? or the gear ratio? educate please......

From what I understand the crv tranny is for dual cams and the rt is for single cams. I'm not sure but Shenrie had to use the crv rear end along with the tranny to make his completely awd.
