Disassembly of EDM single beam headlights?

I have a set of adjustable EDM headlights. I'm in the process of taking the lens off to do a bit of blacking out and refurbishing.
As I'm checking out the inside of the light I notice my housing is cracked.
GREAT.
I don't know if they were like that when I bought them, if it happened in shipping, or if I did it trying to take the lens off. It doesn't really matter and I don't really care.
To fix it I'll need to take off the whole reflective assembly, however I don't want to just jump into it from fear of screwing up the motor or breaking something else.
