Oil pan gasket leak (auto. Rt)

Is there any other way than besides removing the tranny to maybe pull this off. It leaks in the rear.

    So is it leaking from the oil pan gasket or the rear main seal?
    If it is just the oil pan gasket you should not have to pull the tranny.
    Just drop/remove the exhaust pipe from under the engine, drop the oil pan &
    replace the oil pan gasket.
    If it is the rear main seal leaking then you'll have to remove the tranny to get to it.
    At least that has been my experience.

    remove the flywheel cover from the trans. peak at the flywheel for traces of oil.

    Auto rt4wd. Just put a fresh rebuilt z6 in guess I screwed up pan gasket

    This is my only fear in my impending swap. I really really really dont wanna get this wrong. im gonna probably put some gasket maker all over it

    No, with the 4WD, the transfer case is in the way and you can not get the oil pan off. I have tried desperately.

    You can either try to remove the transfer case (which I couldn't figure out how to do and aborted for fear of screwing something up), or pull the whole transmission. Most people say its easiest to remove the entire engine / trans together. Just for an oil pan. yeah it sucks. been there myself.

    OP, i suggest you pull it all out, replace the oil pan gasket and the rear main seal since you will have access to it anyway. Not a bad time for a new clutch if ya need it.
